Expect to return for a minimum of 3 visits to the office. Lenses must be worn for a day or two before some changes can be detected such as lens materials that are incompatible with your eye tissue. This and certain other problems cannot be determined at the time of the original fitting. Should a problem occur, a different type of lens may be tried. It is important that you understand the need to fit your eyes with the right contact lenses. It takes a great deal of time, knowledge, and expertise to find the most clear, comfortable, and safe contact lenses for your eyes.

The more frequently a lens is replaced the healthier the cornea will remain! Your unique prescription and eye condition will determine how often your lenses will need to be replaced. Our trained technician will let you know how often this will be for you.

The most important advantages of proper replacement:

  • Improved Ocular Health
  • Sharper, Crisper Vision
  • Convience
Annual vision checkups are a necessity for your eye health. Our trained technician will notify you when your annual eye exam is needed. We will not be able to issue any contacts lenses if your prescription has expired.  This is not only for the health of your eye, it is the LAW!

Fitting Fees

Fitting fees include the initial assessment of prescription and lens type evaluation, keratometric readings, slit lamp evaluation of lids, tear film, corneal diameter, and follow-up lens checks until fitting is completed. The fitting fee will vary depending on the type lenses prescribed by your doctor.

Topography

Topography is the use of a special camera that photographs a detailed picture of your corneal shape. The use of this technology provides us with detailed information in order to find the best contact lens fit for you.
