DSAEK Surgery

A DSAEK procedure replaces only one layer of the cornea with a thin section of donor tissue which is then placed onto the back surface of the patient's cornea. Compared to customary corneal transplant surgery this new method requires a smaller surgical incision, fewer stitches, heals quicker, and the vision returns faster. Patients with endothelial cell tissues are candidates for DSAEK
